Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payroll tax, tax account registration and tax notices
  • Proficient with Smart Compliance, PeopleSoft or Oracle

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update state and local tax profiles, including SIT and SUI registrations, to ensure accurate withholding across all employee work and resident locations.
  • Proactively research, track, and resolve tax agency notices regarding discrepancies, rate changes, or filing status to minimize corporate liability and penalties.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure withholding accuracy and perform necessary corrections to maintain data integrity.
  • Support the end-to-end production of annual W-2s and process W-2c corrections, ensuring all data aligns with federal and state filings to meet strict statutory deadlines.
  • Partner directly with ADP to resolve return filing issues and coordinate with Equifax to ensure State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rates are accurately updated and synchronized.
