Position Details Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor and working with the payroll team, the Payroll Staff Accountant will perform reporting and auditing of all Payroll entries to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Requirements

  • General accounting experience and understanding of accounting principles
  • Solid analytical skills including efficient problem solving and the ability to understand big picture concepts
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Payroll processing experience
  • 401(k) administration experience
  • Ceridian Dayforce experience
  • The abilility to speak Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Calculate payroll costs by property (business entity) and initiate reimbursements
  • Prepare payroll journal entries
  • Prepare remittance vouchers for rent deductions due to various properties
  • Reconcile wages to payroll tax reports processed by third party administrator
  • Manage outstanding payroll check register
  • Assist with payroll audits
  • Review 401(k) election changes and remit payments to our plan administrator
  • Assist with 401(k) audits
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws specific to payroll reporting and compliance regulations
  • Prepare various ad hoc reports
  • Perform payroll processing tasks as needed
