As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across multiple schedules and locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Intermediate–advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • 4–6 years of payroll processing experience in a high‑volume corporate environment.
  • Experience handling payroll for multi‑schedule or multi‑site operations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, wage and hour rules, and garnishments.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently under deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills (V‑lookups, pivot tables).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Following all food and personal safety rules, including GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, FSMA, and HSE guidelines while maintaining an everyday audit‑ready department.
  • Processing biweekly payroll for exempt and non‑exempt employees using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Importing electronic timeclock data and reviewing for accuracy.
  • Auditing payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconciling payroll reports and ensuring correct tax withholdings and deductions.
  • Maintaining up‑to‑date payroll records including hires, terminations, status changes, and pay changes.
  • Supporting year‑end activities including W‑2s, audits, and reporting.
  • Responding to employee payroll inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Maintaining employee files per record retention policies.
  • Collaborating with HR and Finance for data accuracy and GL reconciliation.
  • Assisting with HR mailings including profit sharing, wellness communications, and new hire packets.
  • Staying current on payroll regulations and recommending improvements.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.
