About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of hands-on payroll experience, ensures employees are paid accurately and on time, and thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment. The Ideal Candidate 2–4 years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred) Proficient in payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or QuickBooks Payroll Strong understanding of payroll tax, garnishments, and compliance (FLSA, federal/state laws) Excellent organizational and analytical skills High attention to detail and accuracy Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Requirements

2–4 years of hands-on payroll experience
Strong proficiency in ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll systems
Advanced Excel and data management skills
Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and multi-state payroll preferred
Exceptional accuracy, time management, and confidentiality

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles with accuracy and timeliness
Review timesheets, verify hours, and calculate wages, deductions, and adjustments
Maintain and update employee payroll records and related documentation
Manage off-cycle payments, bonuses, and terminations
Ensure compliance with all state and federal tax requirements
Prepare and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and 1099s
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and reporting integrity
Stay current on payroll laws, tax rates, and regulatory changes
