About The Position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately preparing and processing payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal and multi-state regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting Finance, Accounting, and HR teams with payroll-related reporting and analysis.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen; work sponsorship is not available.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Verify timekeeping records, deductions, reimbursements and other payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into payroll systems.
  • Review and reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Process new hires, terminations, and status changes in the payroll system.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure payroll aligns with benefits, accounting systems, and time tracking.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and other related issues.
  • Support audits by providing accurate payroll records and reports as needed.
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to ensure smooth communication and documentation in a remote environment.
