The Payroll Specialist provides front line response and consultation to associates and leadership related to Multi-State Payroll Processing and Time Keeping for greater than 5,000 associates. Detailed knowledge of CHOC policies and understanding of California wage and hour laws is required. Must understand Federal, state and local taxation. The Payroll Specialist will have a variety of routine and non-routine payroll functions including aspects of processing, reviewing, analyzing and performing payroll functions with full accountability. Which includes: Payroll system support and maintenance of Workday and Kronos (UKG) Time and Attendance; as well as user training and support. Must ensure timely and accurate Bi-weekly payroll processing as well as On-Demand payments for all Hospital and related entities. Processing of wage orders in Workday, prepare stop payments, voids and check reversals. Occasional auditing and reporting analysis as requested by leaders. The Payroll Specialist role provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and maintains the confidentiality of all Payroll and HR data. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll within ADP Smart Compliance; Workday and Kronos (UKG) Dimensions.
