Responsibilities: Payroll Oversight: Oversee the process for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly disbursement of multi-state/location payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes. Process Improvement: Support management with process improvement initiatives and payroll tracking. System Testing: Test new company code setups and system upgrades and enhancements. Validation and Accuracy: Validate the work of Payroll Specialists to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Procedure Maintenance: Maintain and update written procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Training and Updates: Provide training to new users and update the general employee base when new features are introduced. Report Management: Manage the preparation of relevant management and statutory reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports. Audit Support: Support the Payroll Manager with auditing tax forms, balance sheets, 401K, worker’s compensation, and Year-To-Date earnings. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field; or equivalent payroll experience. 3+ years of end-to-end payroll processing in a multi-state environment, covering weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles. Hands-on experience with a leading payroll/HCM platform (e.g., ADP, UKG/UltiPro, Workday, Paylocity, Ceridian Dayforce) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables). Working knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations (FLSA, FMLA pay implications, multi-state tax, garnishments, benefits taxation, W-2/W-3, 941/940). Proven track record of balancing payrolls, performing pre-/post‑payroll audits, and reconciling taxes and benefits with a high degree of accuracy.
