About The Position

The Payroll and HR Administrative Assistant provides essential support to the Payroll and HR teams by assisting with essential payroll duties, LOA (Leave of Absence) tracking, employee relations tracking, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and HR matters. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week on-site at our headquarters in Centennial, CO.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing and HR administrative support
  • Experience with multi-state payroll (multi-system time keeping preferred)
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience tracking leaves of absence and employee relations matters preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with the verification of timesheets, hours worked, overtime, paid time off, and other pay-related data
  • Assist with terminations and status changes as needed
  • Submit payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and special payments as directed to parent company payroll department
  • Respond to team member payroll inquiries
  • Act as a backup for payroll processing when payroll specialist is unavailable and verify payroll sheets are correct on a bi-weekly basis
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Support the tracking for team member leaves including FMLA, medical leave, personal leave, and other approved absences
  • Monitor leave dates with parent company benefits department
  • Update payroll and HRIS systems with leave information as directed
  • Communicate leave information and polices to team members as needed
  • Maintain confidential records of employee relations issues and investigations
  • Track team member complaints, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans
  • Document meetings, discussions, and resolutions related to employee relations matters
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of employee relations meetings
  • Support HR team in gathering information and documentation for employee relations cases
  • Support reporting for various Human Resources needs, such as turnover, headcount, etc.
  • Assist in answering general People Services questions to team members across the organization
  • Work collaboratively across the People Services team as needed
  • Support general administrative duties for HR and Payroll functions
  • Other duties as assigned
