About The Position

Join Elior North America and be part of a payroll team that directly supports over 15,000 employees across the country. As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll help ensure accurate and timely weekly payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees, covering union and non-union populations. In this role, you’ll work within our enterprise SAP platform to process payroll in-house—no third-party vendor involved—giving you exposure to the full payroll cycle, compliance requirements, and problem-solving across multiple states and employment structures. You’ll collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll principles, wage and hour laws, and multi-state payroll.
  • Experience with large ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing union payroll.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
  • Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or large-scale operations.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing & Administration Process weekly payroll for exempt, non-exempt, union, and non-union.
  • Maintain payroll data integrity, including new hires, terminations, transfers, and pay changes.
  • Calculate and enter deductions, garnishments, and adjustments accurately.
  • Prepare and issue paychecks in-house, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Audit payroll transactions to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate standard and ad hoc payroll reports for Finance, HR, and leadership.
  • System & Process Management Utilize SAP ERP for all payroll-related functions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies in partnership with HR and Operations.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Employee Support Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions from managers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
