About The Position

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role works closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and leadership teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with regulations, and excellent service to employees.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience required, including 1–2 years processing multi-state payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills required (formulas, VLOOKUP, high-volume data management).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now Payroll strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multi-site, multi-state employees.
  • Review payroll changes for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before final processing.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, notices, and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Manage and support the employee pay card program (Wisely) including enrollments, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
  • Complete required federal, state, and local payroll surveys and reporting requests.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and leadership teams to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when handling payroll information.
  • Perform additional payroll or HR-related tasks as assigned.
