About The Position

Join our payroll team as a Payroll Clerk, responsible for daily data entry and assisting in accurate and timely weekly payroll processing. This role is critical to ensuring the precision of payroll records in a rapidly growing organization.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business or Accounting required.
• 4–6 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of child support income withholding orders (IWOs) and garnishments.
• Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other PC applications.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with various management levels.
• Decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Capacity to perform under tight deadlines, with availability for overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Familiarity with Paycom Payroll Software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily payroll department operations efficiently.
• Manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
• Ensure proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
• Process and comply with garnishments and child support calculations.
• Prepare accurate and timely year-end payroll reports when necessary.
• Develop financial and operational reports as needed.
• Calculate back pay and make check corrections.
• Address employee and employer payroll inquiries through research and resolution.
