The Payroll Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the HR department, assisting with employee relations, benefits administration, and day-to-day payroll tasks. This role is ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping employees succeed. Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Prior payroll administrative experience is a plus
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Support HR initiatives and special projects as needed
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Assist with benefits administration, payroll preparation, and payroll reporting
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Maintain employee records, Payroll databases, and personnel files
