About The Position

The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator ensures accurate and timely payroll processing and administers employee benefits programs for GSP Health. This role is a hands-on HR support position that combines technical payroll duties with benefits administration, compliance, attention to detail, and excellent customer service for a diverse workforce.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 2+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, HRIS, and benefits platforms
  • Excellent analytical and numerical accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with FLSA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and IRS payroll tax requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Collect, review, and enter timecard data, pay rate changes, deductions, and absences into the payroll system.
  • Work with Finance/HR to reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
  • Ensure payroll and benefits processes comply with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Support ACA reporting, COBRA notifications, and benefit compliance audits.
  • Administer employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement/403(b), and other voluntary plans.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, terminations, life event changes, and claims support.
  • Coordinate open enrollment communications and materials with carriers/brokers.
  • Review benefit billing and reconcile benefits deductions on payroll.
  • Maintain benefits data in HRIS/payroll systems and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain HR/payroll documentation, reports, and secure records.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
