We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Assistant to support our payroll operations. This role is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and assisting with benefits administration. Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, required
  • Familiarity with payroll software (ADP, Paycom, or similar systems)
  • Basic understanding of payroll laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Positive team player
  • Demonstrated integrity on personal as well as professional level
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with a high level of accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with self-funded insurance plans, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for 400+ employees
  • Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation
  • Support administration of benefits deductions, garnishments, and taxes
  • Ensure compliance with Washington State labor laws, including paid sick leave and overtime requirements
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare payroll reports for internal use and audits
  • Assist with year-end processes, as needed (W-2s, audits, etc.)
