Provides expertise and coaching to other team members as well as to business HR managers regarding exceptions and special circumstances. Evaluates processes for improvement. Participates in department projects. Serves as liaison to operational and functional departments. Key Performance Indicators: - Audit on payroll accuracy - HR Support Teammate engagement VOT)

Requirements

  • Prior experience with Workday preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related work experience in Payroll

Responsibilities

  • Serves as expert for complex problem solving and resolves customer issues through research and proper application of concepts.
  • Responsible for ensuring off-cycle requests are processed correctly and timely. Research reasons for process failure, if needed.
  • Responsible for receiving, researching, responding and payment of complex payroll processes such as but not limited to the recovery of overpayments of ESPP deductions, severance processing, final pay in CA and HI, etc.
  • Responsible for correction of integration errors caused by GL code discrepancies.
  • Monitors open tickets in the system and follow up on overdue tasks.
  • Works with business process improvement analysts to create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for processes.
  • Ensures compliance with SOX controls.
  • Responsible for knowing applicable payroll laws and regulations.
  • Participates in and coordinates projects within the department.
