About The Position

Our team is searching for a skilled Payroll Specialist who is ready to own the details, keep our payroll operations running smoothly, and support employees with accuracy and professionalism. This role is fully remote and supports multiple payrolls with a combined monthly average exceeding 3.5 million dollars.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in payroll or accounting preferred.
  • CPP, CPS, or other payroll certification preferred.
  • Three years of payroll experience with certification or five years without certification.
  • Strong Excel skills including PivotTables and XLOOKUP.
  • Familiarity with payroll software. ADP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, focus, solve problems, and provide great service.
  • Requires 3 years of experience in payroll with certification, or 5 years in a similar payroll roll without certification.
  • Familiarity with payroll software required, and knowledge of ADP software is preferred.
  • Required to be familiar with MS Office, and to have strong skill in Excel.

  • Preferably able to communicate with others (employees, outside companies, and government offices) by phone.
  • Learn, remember, focus, categorize, and integrate information for decision making, problem-solving, and comprehending.
  • Learn, memorize, and execute tasks independently.
  • Maintain concentration/focus on tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately, including time and PTO calculations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records for employees and each payroll cycle.
  • Respond to employee questions and resolve payroll issues quickly.
  • Produce and update payroll reports as needed.
  • Stay current with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Work with the payroll team to improve processes and update SOPs.
  • Accurately determine time and PTO and ensure employees are paid accordingly
  • Maintain records for each payroll including changes made during processing
  • Verify and correct employee records as needed for payroll
  • Answer payroll related question
  • Resolve payroll issues in a timely manner
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations
  • Revise or create reports as needed for payroll related matters.
  • Participate with others in the payroll department to improve the payroll process
  • Update the SOP as needed.
