As subject matter expert in North America & Puerto Rico payroll processing and analytics, apply skills and experience to resolve unique and complex payroll issues that may affect HR, Commissions, or Finance. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, communicate resolutions with impacted parties, document resolutions, recommend preventative actions, and work with colleagues to implement preventative solutions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate payroll activities for special, unique, and annual payments such as minimum wage updates, annual bonuses, or annual health insurance changes. Identify tables and codes for revisions; validate revisions & updates accuracy and effective dates. Import, validate, and load time-keeping; calculate retroactive pay and overtime changes. Validate PTO programs accrue and deduct accurately. Reconcile year-end vacation cut-off and purge. Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation. Prepare financial reports and forecast expenditures for treasury and finance. Reviews, verifies, and tracks gathered documentation for internal audits and litigation requests. Test payroll software revisions and releases for usability (UAT) and functionality (SIT) against business and one’s own expectations. Document test script failures; working outside the test script, apply experience of real world situations and document failures. Provide feedback to software release team. Draft Gantt chart charts, job aids, process flow charts, procedures and similar to support effective operations. Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for improvement initiative. Recommend continual improvements to increase efficiencies.
