About The Position

CTL|Thompson, Inc. is seeking a qualified Payroll Administrator for full-time employment with our Centennial, CO office. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for overseeing everything that is associated with paying employees, maintaining payroll databases and processing paychecks according to the payroll schedule and in the correct amount. This generally includes tracking hours worked, validating earnings and validating deductions for taxes and other company-offered benefits. The Payroll Administrator will be paid between $30.00 and $45.00 per hour. Our offer will be based upon the individual's experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution
  • Ability to function well in time sensitive situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or equivalent required
  • 7+ years of experience with end-to-end payroll processing
  • Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or related field and/or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Paylocity and Deltek a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly, multi-state payroll
  • Check timesheets for accuracy
  • Process and approve changes in payroll and accounting databases
  • Enter and update data into payroll database, accounting database, and spreadsheets
  • Process off-cycle payrolls including final pay, bonuses, and adjustments
  • Process wage garnishments
  • Enter expense reimbursements for payment
  • Process paper checks for distribution
  • Reconcile open enrollment & monthly employee benefits invoices
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit required tax documents/reports including W-2's
  • Prepare and maintain vacation and sick leave accrual reports and records
  • Prepare New Hire packets
  • Maintain accurate employee files including certifications and driver's license information
  • Prepare and distribute annual Total Compensation Statements
  • Prepare and maintain Employee Service Recognition records
  • Prepare U.S. Census Bureau surveys
  • Maintain I-9 files
  • Support Human Resources and Accounting department with additional tasks or special projects as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
