Overview The Payroll Administrator III assists in the preparation of payroll reconciliations and ensures that payroll is accurately updated. They are responsible for responding to payroll inquiries and performing payroll processing calculations as required. Position is onsite at our Carlsbad, CA location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Payroll.
  • OR (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
  • OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree.
  • Intermediate Excel Experience Required.
  • Strong typing skills is a must.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal Labor Laws & Overtime Calculations.
  • Experience with processing manual checks, quarterly adjustments and amendments in ADP WFN.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, prepare payroll journal entries, and reconcile payroll general ledger accounts, including payroll accruals
  • Prepare monthly payroll accruals and payroll-related reconciliations
  • Respond to all payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner
  • Update payroll spreadsheets weekly and balance them with the payroll register
  • Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information and documents
  • Process and submit payroll reports in a timely manner
  • Maintain payroll records and file tax reports
