Map Communications Inc. is looking for a Payroll Administrator I to join our Chesapeake office! As a Payroll Administrator I, you will manage the full employee lifecycle, serving as a key point of contact from onboarding through off boarding. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of employee data, handling all status changes, and ensuring year-end documentation is accurate and complete. Your core technical duties will include managing electronic timekeeping systems to calculate payable hours, tax withholdings, and various deductions with total precision. Beyond data entry, you will play a vital role in reporting and compliance by preparing detailed payroll records for weekly, quarterly, and year-end reviews. You will also support our team's well-being by assisting with the administration of benefits and leave, including health insurance and retirement plans. As a problem-solver, you will proactively resolve payroll discrepancies and provide professional, timely responses to employee inquiries. Finally, you will collaborate closely with our accounting and operations departments to ensure a seamless, unified approach to payroll and benefits processing.
