About The Position

HMC Hospitality Group is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Payroll / Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and vendor payments.Key Responsibilities: Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations Maintain payroll records and handle employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits Process and code vendor invoices weekly, ensuring proper approvals and account coding Prepare and process weekly check runs Assist management with onboarding and offboarding employees, including payroll setup and final pay Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoices and payment status Support special projects and provide administrative assistance as needed Ideal Qualifications: Strong proficiency in payroll processing (experience with Paylocity preferred) Familiarity with integrated accounting systems (Great Plains experience is a plus) Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Why Join Us?We offer a competitive benefits package, including: Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) and vacation Short-term, long-term disability Employee discount on food and merchandise Referral program with bonus opportunities Tenure awards and recognition

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in payroll processing (experience with Paylocity preferred)
  • Familiarity with integrated accounting systems (Great Plains experience is a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
