Requirements

  • STRONG SKILLS USING MS OFFICE TO INCLUDE WORD AND EXCEL
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Good analytical abilities and numerical aptitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or years of experience equivalent to degree
  • Five or more years of labor and payroll accounting and processing experience
  • Experience in general ledger accounting and account reconciliations preferred
  • Experience working with general accounting principles
  • Must be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19 virus, which means two weeks have passed since a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine. Requests for medical or religious accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Government Travel Regulations is a plus
  • Experience working with Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include managing internal communications between benefits, payroll and accounting departments
  • Review and audit insurance carrier invoices to be reconciled with client employer practices.
  • Verifies the calculation of monthly premium statements for insurance policies and administer payments to various insurance carriers on a monthly basis.
  • Track and assist in resolving billing discrepancies
  • Serve as a backup to processes including payroll, pay calculations, and reporting
  • Assist with the bi-weekly general ledger entries, updates and report reconciliations
  • Tracking and handling special billing situations and billing discrepancies
  • Assist with audits to ensure data integrity
  • Work closely with manager to improve accuracy and standards of billing processes
  • Prepare reporting of necessary payroll adjustments and work with payroll to process them
  • May assist with researching benefit processes/issues (i.e. vendor files, open enrollment, and benefit plan changes)
  • May prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and queries
  • Other duties as assigned
