About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The Payoff Closing Support Specialist provides operational and financial support to the escrow and title departments by ensuring the accurate processing and tracking of transaction-related funds. This role is responsible for posting incoming wires, initiating outgoing wires for escrow branches and the title department, processing check disbursements and daily deposits, and reviewing daily financial reports to verify the accuracy of wire activity. The position also supports the processing of real estate taxes and coordinates the timely disbursement of tax payments to various counties according to their respective due dates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple financial tasks in a fast-paced closing environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Post incoming wire transfers and input outgoing wire transfers for all escrow branches and the title department Process check disbursements for escrow and title transactions Process and record daily check deposits for escrow and title accounts Review daily reports to ensure the accuracy of incoming and outgoing wire activity Monitor wire transactions to ensure proper posting and timely processing Process real estate tax payments related to transactions Prepare and disburse tax checks to various counties based on applicable due dates Maintain accurate records of wires, deposits, disbursements, and supporting documentation Communicate with escrow staff and internal departments regarding wire activity, deposits, and disbursement questions Assist with additional closing support and operational tasks as assigned COMPETENCIES High school diploma or equivalent required Previous escrow, title, real estate, or accounting experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and escrow or title software systems preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
