Position Summary: The Payment Processing Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing daily payment processing reporting and analytics. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of transactions, reconciling payments, generating detailed reports, and driving process improvement and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounting/Finance, payment processing, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in gathering, researching, and analyzing information to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly, actively listen, and presents information effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; able to identify and resolve issues while giving, receiving, and applying feedback to improve outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and provide timely responses to customer needs and requests to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrates professionalism by acting with tact, respect, and integrity, taking responsibility for actions, maintaining reliability, punctuality, and consistently meeting commitments.
  • Adaptable to change and unexpected events, while remaining effective in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
  • Excel required
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA.

  • Education - Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile all payment transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Analyze transaction data and exception reports to identify process improvement opportunities and potential risks, while generating and distributing detailed reports on payment activities that highlight trends and anomalies.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of payment processing systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with collections, customer service, and other departments to resolve payment issues, facilitate refunds, and adjust payment applications.
  • Support the accounting department by performing daily and monthly reconciliations and identifying the root cause of variances and imbalances.
  • Provide analysis and insight into the department's operation to achieve increased efficiency and assist with process mapping and the documentation of policies and procedures, while supporting financial audits with necessary documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information, especially specified personal information, to preserve the organization's value.
  • Prepare ad-hoc and other reports as directed by management, and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
