About The Position

The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Central Business Office is seeking a full-time Payment Posting Supervisor this individual will perform payment posting duties for PCI and PCI billing clients in addition to supervisory responsibilities for the department.

Requirements

• Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
• Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with payment posting and medical insurance preferred.
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Electronically or manually post insurance checks to proper account by date of service and procedure codes stated on the explanation of benefits.
• Ensure proper enrollments working with Payors.
• Review Exception Reports and correct posted data.
• Transfer any balances to patient or second insurance.
• Process contract adjustments and/or write-offs per established guidelines.
• Balance daily journal per established guidelines.
• Post patient personal payments per established guidelines.
• Keep a daily log of all payments posted and balance with the daily totals off computer at the end of each day.
• Process all credit card payments via on-line program and post payment amount to patient account.
• Supervise Payment Posting Staff; scheduling, approving PTO requests, etc.
• Maintain positive staff relationships and conduct department business with commitment to the PCI Service Standards.
• Prepare materials and conduct monthly department staff meetings to reviewing any projects, changes, or enhancements.
