JOB PURPOSE: The Temporary Patron Services Supervisor is responsible for coordinating front-of-house services for theatre performances and events, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organized experience for all patrons. This role provides direct supervision to Ushers and Box Office Assistants and plays a key role in patron engagement, staff scheduling, and event operations. Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide staff effectively.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
  • Comfortable using electronic ticket scanners and basic event technology.
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee front-of-house services delivered to theatre patrons during performances and events.
  • Supervise and support Ushers and Box Office Assistants, including providing direction during events.
  • Schedule ushering staff coverage for each performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Monitor and report patron attendance for each performance.
  • Utilize electronic ticket scanning equipment to support event entry and flow.
  • Maintain a professional yet approachable presence to ensure patron comfort and safety.
  • Oversee multiple levels of activity simultaneously to ensure smooth operations and effective supervision of the student workforce.
