Available Schedule: Saturday - Sunday 0700-1500 (site one) & Monday - Tuesday 2200-0600 (site two) Two different sites, must be able to reliably commute to each site Site one is located in Mission Hills, CA. Key responsibilities of this position include patrolling the premises, monitoring unauthorized activities, and more. As a security guard you must also be in good physical shape as you will be spending a lot of time on your feet, walking around, observing and assessing various situations. Strong attention to detail is required as you will respond to emergency situations and calls. Your efforts will be essential in preventing theft, damage and injury in our organization.

Requirements

Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
Must possess a current Pepper Spray Certification
Must possess a current CPR / First Aid Certification
Must possess a current Driver's License with 3 years of a clean record.
Access control experience
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
Ability to write and understand English
Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks.
Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
Reliable transportation
Friendly and professional demeanor
Able to pass a drug test and background check
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Possess and maintain a valid State Guard Registration (guard card)
Conduct foot patrols alone.
Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in Post Orders / SOP.
Utilize a smartphone or similar device to maintain a Daily Activity Report, and create Incident and Facility Maintenance Reports.
Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
Maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues, and the public.
Respond to emergency calls, including medical, fire, and damage to property.
