This position sits within the Lifecycle Engineering department, part of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems organization under Systems Engineering. The team plays a vital role in delivering logistics, training, and technical manual support for Raytheon’s domestic and international defense system customers, supporting products throughout their full development and sustainment lifecycle. As a Patriot Training Lead, you will guide the development and execution of all training activities within Patriot program contracts. In this role, you’ll serve as a key technical expert, applying deep knowledge of Patriot system operation and maintenance to ensure that high‑quality, mission‑ready training is delivered. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with the operation and/or maintenance of the Patriot Air and Missile System or other comparable DoD weapon system.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Air and Missile Defense (AMD) planning and operations.
  • Knowledge of the US Army’s Training Management System, Army publications system and Army operations/maintenance concepts or comparable DoD systems.
  • Experience with Army Logistics and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) programs.
  • Experience with Bases of Estimate (BOE) development or proposal support, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews, as well as experience with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and the Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Experience leading projects consisting of cross functional teams from design to evaluation and adapting to changing needs and priorities over the program lifecycle.
  • Experience with designing and developing training documentation and/or providing technical instruction for DoD customers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and conduct New Equipment Training (NET) to US Army Patriot units.
  • Provide training proficiency to the customer and program leadership.
  • Participate in peer reviews for updates to Patriot hardware and software engineering modernization.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction for the planning, preparation, and execution of NET, training material development, and other program requirements.
  • Serve as communications liaison between customer, program management, engineering, and training team.
  • Manage applicable portion of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with required tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate/attend customer, subcontractor, and Raytheon working groups to discuss training issues and/or events.
  • Manage regular Integrated Process Team (IPT) meetings to discuss status, budget, events, and/or issues.
  • Review Patriot Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for training impacts.
  • Plan and manage the US Patriot NET budget.
  • Serve as the US Patriot NET program task lead and Cost Account Manager (CAM).
  • Coordinate/support all safety and engineering peer reviews of developed content.
  • Coordinate/support all training conducts events.
  • Support/attend customer/contractor reviews and collect/track customer satisfaction data.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment by enabling data flow and cooperation between various involved teams to include but not limited to hardware engineering, software engineering, program office, customer entities and the performing training teams.
  • Establish/maintain cost controls, Variance Analysis Reports (VARs) to manage earned value cost and schedule metrics within defined parameters.
  • Ensure leadership and stakeholders remain up to date on program status and performance via monthly status reports and briefings.
