About The Position

This scheduler position is to register patients for their appointments, answer the phone, schedule and arrive patients for their imaging exams. Be courteous, helpful and positive face for the department . Valley View's busy Imaging Department is seeking full-time, patient-focused Patient Services Specialists with excellent customer service skills to be the first contact for our patients. Previous Customer Service experience in a medical setting highly preferred. Responsibilities include providing patients with professional and friendly reception duties; organizing patient flow; keeping Imaging providers and patients on schedule; maintaining patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner; and handling phone calls for the department, techs, and providers appropriately. Patient care background and medical scheduling experience preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Clerical: typing, filing, scheduling, computer, phone
Exceptional customer service skills required
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Receptionist/clerical experience required

Nice To Haves

Previous Customer Service experience in a medical setting highly preferred
Patient care background and medical scheduling experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
