About The Position

Wee Care Pediatrics is seeking motivated individuals for a Patient Services Representative position within their Patient Services Department, located in Layton. This PRN (as needed) role emphasizes delivering excellence in customer service. The schedule involves daytime hours, typically ranging from 7 AM to 5 PM. The representative will be responsible for various administrative and patient-facing tasks crucial to the smooth operation of a fast-paced health care environment.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients/parents
• Capable of prioritizing multiple job demands and work in a fast-paced health care environment
• Demonstrate compassion and understanding for the patient and families
• Basic computer knowledge and phone etiquette required
• Must possess a GED/High School diploma

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience highly recommended
• Experience working in a medical office setting desired

Responsibilities

• accurate scheduling of appointments
• routing messages to appropriate departments
• greeting and checking-in patients
• updating personal and insurance information
• collecting co-pays and payments on accounts
• monitoring the waiting area to ensure appropriate flow of patients
• other duties as assigned
