Join Our Team: We are searching for a part-time Patient Service Representative for our Primary Care Partners office located at 13303 Tesson Ferry! Opportunity: Part-time opening 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 3 days a week. You choose Monday, Thursday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. No evenings, weekends or holidays Not benefit eligible Outpatient clinical practice Day-to-Day: Perform patient check-in/check-out Schedule patient appointments Collect co-payments Verify insurance Register patients/update patient demographics Answer the telephone Balance monies at day end May be required to enter physician-related charges into the computer May be required to bill hospital/nursing home charges Who we are seeking ( preferred ) : The Patient Service Representative is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.

Requirements

  • Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • PC/Windows proficiency.
  • Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc.
  • Medical coding familiarity.

Responsibilities
