Supervisor, Patient Service Representative
About The Position
Lumexa Imaging is one of the country's largest providers of outpatient medical imaging, with over 5,000 team members and more than 185 outpatient imaging centers across 13 states, conducting over 4 million outpatient studies annually. They are seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative Supervisor to join their team in Canton, GA. This role operates Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm. The supervisor is responsible for creating a positive environment for patients, families, and visitors, and performing duties such as interviewing patients for demographic and financial information, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying insurance, explaining financial responsibility, and collecting same-day payments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years office experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, families, and visitors
- Interviewing patients and/or families to obtain all demographic and financial information
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Verifying patient insurance
- Explaining financial responsibility to patient or patient representative
- Collecting same-day payments
- Manages the training and onboarding of new team members
- Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
- Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones
- Monitors and approves timecards
- Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and on-going development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/ or terminations when necessary
- Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities
- Develops and monitors the teams’ performance through a QA process
- Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate department coverage
- Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
