About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Patient Service Contact Center Rep to join our Patient Contact Center team! This is a Full Time, benefits eligible position. No weekends, holidays, or on call. The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoast Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience preferably in one of the following: scheduling, pre-registration or financial clearance, preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Understanding of insurance reimbursement basics

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing exceptional customer service, while demonstrating proficiency in either facilitating patient access to care (scheduling) or financially securing services to be provided.
  • The role will require completing tasks and duties associated with either Patient Scheduling or Financial Clearance within the Patient Service Contact Center.
