Patient Scheduler - Providence Imaging Center
About The Position
Under supervision, the Patient Scheduler coordinates patient reception, scheduling, and registration. This role involves obtaining and recording all data related to the registration process, maintaining knowledge of insurance and third-party payers, computer data-entry, forms, and the Advanced Beneficiary Notification (ABN) process. The scheduler is also responsible for answering all incoming calls with correct phone etiquette and demonstrating exemplary customer service skills. This full-time position is for 1.0 FTE, working 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week at Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, AK.
Requirements
- Experience with multi-line telephone systems, personal computer, printers, copiers and fax machines
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology
- 6 months Clerical background involving public contact, preferably medical
- Ancillary department (such as Radiology), clerical or Admitting Representative/Scheduling specialist experience
