About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate, caring and dedicated Patient Intake Specialist I to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence. Job Overview Collects information via phone, in person (bedside or registration bay) or from the website to accurately register patients. Verifies eligibility and discusses ABN notices when appropriate. Collects, secures and posts payments from patients. Disperses change and accepts deposits from other locations or retail points. Greets patients, provides routing assistance (arranging transport or escorting patients) to point of service. Provides wayfinding and guided tours of the facility. Acts a resource for all areas of the facility. Delivers amenities, VIP gifts, bereavement gifts and thank you cards. Provides security assistance to vehicles. Assists travelers with transportation arrangements. Works with ADON, doctors and nursing staff for proper bed placement and admission orders. Provides cross coverage for all areas of the Access Department including post admit. Accurately review and resolve billing claim edit, follow-up work queues, and patient work queues that are assigned related to registration errors. COVID screening and COVID related registration.

Requirements

  • Must be in high school
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Able to work shifts that are 4-8 hours long
  • This is a high school student position only.
