About The Position
We are looking for a compassionate, caring and dedicated Patient Intake Specialist I to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence. This position is responsible for greeting, registering, collecting payments from and directing/escorting patients in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. Is an ambassador of Deaconess, cultivating a nurturing atmosphere of courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity and optimism.
Requirements
- Completion of High School or GED is required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the health care revenue cycle is preferred.
- Understanding insurance is a plus.
