About The Position

The primary focus of this position will be to make a positive impression by greeting and welcoming patients, families, visitors, and vendors, assessing, and facilitating their needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred
1-2 years of customer service experience
Current TO approved BLS provider card required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Exercises diplomacy and tact in lobby setting to provide excellent patient experience.
Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with policies and HIPAA requirements.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of patient accounts.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort with all building entities to ensure an excellent patient experience by accomplishing assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Provides support to assist in executing patient programs or other necessary functions to support the patient experience by managing assigned areas.
Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed.
Proactively keeps the patient areas tidy and welcoming to patients and visitors.
Accesses Tennessee Oncology systems to review patient information to help direct them to the correct areas.
Provides information regarding parking and local resources to support patients.
Responds quickly and appropriately to emergency situations such as fire alarms or visitor health issues.
