What You'll Do As the Patient Dining Manager , you will play a key leadership role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient services:

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare food service or patient dining operations
  • Proven ability to lead in a union environment (preferred)
  • Strong customer service and patient experience focus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, urban healthcare setting
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with bedside dining programs / food service systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of union frontline employees
  • Oversee daily patient dining operations, ensuring timely and accurate meal service
  • Drive a culture of patient-centered care and service excellence
  • Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support nutritional care plans
  • Monitor and improve patient satisfaction scores (HCAHPS/Press Ganey)
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards (HACCP, DOH, Joint Commission)
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
