About The Position

BJC Outpatient Imaging is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team. This full-time role is for a Patient Coordinator I, working an 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday shift, at their outpatient imaging center located in O'Fallon, MO. The Business Office Team, which includes this role, is responsible for collaborating and leading the Imaging Center team in providing excellent patient care and supporting the operational goals for both the Center and the organization. This encompasses all customer and patient-facing responsibilities such as welcoming, registering, overall patient coordination, phone correspondence, scheduling appointments, inventory, and medical record management. This position is part of a joint venture partnership with Outpatient Imaging Affiliates (OIA).

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to work independently and multitask
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Collaborating and leading the Imaging Center team in providing excellent patient care and supporting the operational goals for both the Center and the organization
Handling all customer and patient-facing responsibilities including welcoming, registering, and overall patient coordination
Managing phone correspondence
Scheduling appointments
Managing inventory
Managing medical records
