About The Position

Patient Care Tech Intern - CNA - In Patient Rehab Full Time - Day shift - 36 hours The Patient Care Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates. The Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit (Meyer 7) is an 18-bed adult inpatient unit, requiring inpatient care Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy services. Our team of experts specialize in rehabilitation care for amputation, spinal cord injury and dysfunction, complex medical conditions, brain injury and illness, musculoskeletal injury, and stroke. A Neuropsychologist is available as part of the care team to provide support to the patient, family, and staff. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
Entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services focused on the needs and comfort of patients.
PCT Intern will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year. The PCT Intern will advance to the PCT I upon meeting training requirements.
BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
