A career taking care of cancer patients is a calling for most all of us. It’s much more than a job. Each of us has a unique story that brought us to Compass Oncology, but those stories usually share common themes of care, compassion, and commitment. No matter the role, each Compass team member serves in, the goal is the same: to provide the best care possible for each and every one of our patients. Compass Oncology - the largest privately-owned Cancer Care and Research Facility in the Pacific Northwest- is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our high-impact team. This role requires someone who is adaptable, multi-faceted, and willing to jump in wherever needed, even beyond their usual scope of responsibilities. In a team environment, collaboration, flexibility, and a proactive approach are essential to support each other and provide an exceptional patient experience. Under general supervision, the Patient Care Coordinator serves in scheduling a variety of patient appointments including office visits, lab appointments, chemotherapy appointments, and tests as indicated by the Provider. This may include outside scheduling and the coordination of outside referrals. The role serves as a resource and liaison between the patient and other medical staff, answering incoming calls and triaging them appropriately to the correct department/healthcare provider. Accuracy, efficiency, and excellent time management are crucial. The coordinator should be familiar with standard medical concepts and medical office practices and supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
