About the Role: Our Patient Care Associates play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. PCAs are the heart of our patient experience. They manage a high volume of calls, provide accurate information, and assist patients with their healthcare needs. This role will support the Behavioral Health Department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a medical service environment, specifically with front desk activities preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress
  • Ability to multi-task

  • Knowledge of Federal & NY State patient privacy regulations/laws a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a courteous, patient, and professional demeanor.
  • Manage front desk reception duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking in/out patients.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and coordinate with medical staff to minimize wait times.
  • Assist with patient registration, including collecting and verifying billing and payment information.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including managing medical records and assisting with patient follow-up.
  • Handle patient inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources or staff members.
  • Ensure the front desk and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
