About The Position

Overview: The Patient & Family Experience (PFE) Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that every child and family feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their care journey at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Reporting to the Administrative Director of Patient and Family Experience, the Coordinator serves as staff lead for the system-wide Family Advisory Council (FAC) and coordinates the FAC Steering Committee to establish consistent standards, processes, and expectations. The Coordinator supports both strategic and operational PFE work, integrating family voice into decision-making and advancing the hospital’s commitment to trust, compassion, collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Job Description Summary: Coordinates implementation of strategic initiatives, project activities, schedules meetings, communicates with stakeholders, tracks progress, and ensures timely completion. Job Description: Essential Functions: Plans for and coordinates major organizational initiatives, project activities and ensures all tasks are completed on time. Communicates project updates and progress to leadership, team members and stakeholders. Manages project documentation and maintains accurate records. Assists in budget tracking and financial reporting for the project. Facilitates meetings and ensures action items are followed up on. Identifies and resolves project issues and escalates as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or equivalent education and experience, required.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements.
  • Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds, required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, required.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, flexibility, organizational skills, and creativity.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication required to engage a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Must be able to organize and coordinate multiple project deadlines and deliverables while keeping attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Three years of relevant professional experience, required.

  • Meeting facilitation skills, preferred.
