About The Position

The Patient Advocate facilitates and promotes continuous quality improvements in the delivery of patient care by maintaining active interfaces between internal and external customers (patients, family, visitors, medical staff, risk management, etc.), maintaining data system of customer issues for use in identifying areas for improvement. Protects the patient's rights; speaking out on the patient's family's behalf when necessary. Staff education to improve patient satisfaction is also expected. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2 years of Customer Service required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree Highly Preferred
  • 2 years of Healthcare Experience preferred
  • Communication and quality improvement experience preferred
  • Experience with common office software- MS office, excel, teams, outlook preferred
