About The Position

Join our team as Patient Access Representative in our cutting-edge Gastroenterology department! As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential clerical support and ensuring a seamless patient registration process. This entails verifying benefits, facilitating patient discharges, collecting copays or payments, maintaining accurate account balances, and performing general data entry tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a customer service position and/or office setting

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service completing the registration process for patients.
  • Confirms patient demographic information, verification of benefits, scheduling and coordinating post discharge care for patients, collection of copays or payments, balancing of accounts, and general data entry.
  • Preregister, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to the defined guidelines.
