About The Position

Join our team as Patient Access Representative in our cutting-edge Gastroenterology department! This integral administrative role plays a crucial part in maintaining the utmost organization and efficiency within our medical office. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential clerical support and ensuring a seamless patient registration process. This entails verifying benefits, facilitating patient discharges, collecting copays or payments, maintaining accurate account balances, and performing general data entry tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a customer service position and/or office setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential clerical support and ensure a seamless patient registration process.
  • Verify benefits.
  • Facilitate patient discharges.
  • Collect copays or payments.
  • Maintain accurate account balances.
  • Perform general data entry tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service completing the registration process for patients.
  • Confirm patient demographic information.
  • Schedule and coordinate post discharge care for patients.
  • Balance accounts.
  • Preregister, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to the defined guidelines.
