The Ancillary Access Representative (AAR) is a fully cross-functional level and role and performs all Patient Access functions. Performs all outpatient and inpatient registration functions. Ensures that patients meet financial requirements. Provides general information to hospital users, patients and families. Communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Provides excellent patient focused customer service. Assists with scheduling and activates orders as applicable. The Ancillary Access Representative will typically be located in Laboratory and Radiology Registration areas, but will be able to assist in all areas, including: • Check-In Desk • Emergency Department Registration • Outpatient Registration • Inpatient & Observation Registration
