Job Description: The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham is seeking a part-time Pathologist. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham is a nonprofit, 73-bed community hospital that brings advanced, academic-level expertise to a community setting, offering patients high-quality care close to home. The hospital is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, and Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), one of the largest healthcare systems in Massachusetts. Job responsibilities include providing various diagnostic pathology services, with a focus on breast pathology, gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and gynecologic (GYN) pathology. The position involves interpretation of surgical pathology and clinical laboratory coverage to support the care of patients across a range of medical and surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty expertise or strong interest in breast pathology, GI, GU, or GYN. A commitment to diagnostic excellence and collaboration is essential. Call coverage is divided among pathologists from both Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. There are no cytology or autopsy services. Pay Range: $300,000 - $327,500 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
