About The Position

PathGroup is seeking an experienced AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist with subspecialty training in Gynecologic Pathology to join our hospital-based team supporting Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is a full-time opportunity within a large tertiary care center, comprehensive cancer center, and academic teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. This role offers a balanced mix of subspecialty gynecologic pathology and general surgical pathology, with additional responsibilities in non-gynecologic cytopathology. Requirements

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility
Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology or subspecialty training in Gynecologic Pathology preferred
Eligible for or currently hold a Tennessee medical license
Strong diagnostic skills and clinical judgment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

Board certification in Cytopathology is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Primary sign-out of surgical pathology cases, with focus on gynecologic pathology
Interpretation of non-gynecologic cytopathology
Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations
Participate in rapid onsite evaluation (ROSE)
Share call responsibilities with the pathology team
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams and participate in tumor boards
Contribute to quality initiatives and clinical excellence
