The Pastry Supervisor is responsible for helping to oversee the entire pastry department, as well as the daily operations and production of desserts. Requirements

  • Five years’ experience in Restaurant and Pastry or Culinary Education and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Restaurant and Pastry
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to write and speak clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to compose effective recipes
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
  • Must be able to convert recipes into larger and smaller batches
  • Must thoroughly understand weights, measures, and conversion of both
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Requires constant bending, stooping and reaching

Responsibilities

  • Cleanliness and organization of bakeshop
  • Communication and ordering of all pastry specific supplies and equipment
  • Proper rotation and monitoring of raw and finished products
  • Helping oversee dessert production
  • Helping in menu development under guidance from Pastry Chef/ Bread Baker
  • Training of all pastry team members and other kitchen staff where necessary
  • Completing monthly inventory
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.
